Maria Sazonova

In 1971 graduated from the Law Department of Leningrad State University with a degree in “Law”, I class Councellor in Justice.

From 1972 to 1987 - the first secretary of the AULYCL of the Frunze District of Leningrad, then secretary of the executive committee of the Frunze District of People’s Deputies. Was elected as a member of the Frunze District Council (1969-1979).

From 1987 to 1993 - Deputy Head of Department, then the Head of the Department of Justice of the Leningrad City Executive Committee, managed the notarial and legal services to the public.

In May 1993 Sazonova M.I. was elected as the President of the Chamber of Notaries of St. Petersburg.

In 2009 - was elected as the President of the Federal Notarial Chamber, which unites 82 regional notary chambers.

Honoured Lawyer of Russia.

Winner of the highest legal award “Themis” in 2002.

The Presidium Member of the All-Russian public organization “Association of Lawyers of Russia”

Chairman of the Committee of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on the notarial activities.

Member of the working group of the Presidium of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation on anti- corruption and on interaction with civil society.

Member of the Government Commission on the implementation of the Federal Law “On Free Legal Assistance in the Russian Federation”.

Member of the Interagency Working Committee under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on improving the quality of legal education.

Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Federal Chamber of Notaries.

Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2012 № 1704 “On conferring state awards of the Russian Federation”, “For labor achievements and many years of diligent work” was awarded the Order of Honor.
