Since 2007 — Deputy Director of the Real Estate Department of the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Mikhail Bocharov has been with the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation since 2004.

1993-2004 — held various positions with the State Committee on Land Resources, the Russian Federation Committee on Land Resources and Land Management, state agencies of Stavropol region.

Mikhail Bocharov has been involved in development of over 30 federal laws and more than 50 other draft laws and regulations.
