He graduated with honors from the Bauman Higher Technical School (Kaluga Branch) in 1984, fаculty - turbine engineering, diploma of mechanical engineer (1984, with honors laude).
Over 27 years of experience in oil and gas industry. Prior to his election to the State Duma he worked as a general director of Gazprom Transgas Yugorsk, a major Russian gas transportation company.
