25 regional trade facilities have been commissioned in the RF

According to the statistics of Cushman & Wakefield, which collects data in such areas as office and corporate real estate, the third quarter of 2015 was one of the most active in regional real estate trade. During this time 12 trade facilities were commissioned in the regions, two of which are located in the Moscow region. A total of 25 regional facilities with almost 450,000 sq m in area began to operate on the whole during 9 months of 2015.

The experts also noted that the number of new trade complexes on the real estate market almost reached the same indicators for 2014 when 21 regional facilities were completed with trading area of 680,000 sq m. In 2013 18 projects were completed with space over 520,000 sq m.

The specialists report that complexes of smaller size are currently being commissioned in the regions. The average complex area in 2015 was less than 25,000 sq m, while the complexes put on the market last year had average area of 33,000 sq m. The average area thus dropped by more than 30%.

During the third quarter of this year, five trade real estate facilities opened in the capital (area over 300,000 sq m), while the total volume of new real estate essentially reached the record 2014 levels, significantly exceeding the pre-crisis 2011-2013 indicators.

However, no new centres appeared on the Moscow marked during the entire third quarter, and those planned for this period were moved closer to the end of 2015 or early 2016, and it is expected that new projects will mainly be opened far from the capital centre.
