Director, Smart City Expert CORP - COnsulting Research Projects
Manfred Schrenk is an expert on «Cities and Technologies» («Smart Cities», «Digital/intelligent/future/… Cities» with 25 years of experience in urban planning, spatial development, mobility and transport planning, GIS and planning technologies, information and knowledge society.
Since 1996 he organizes the annual international CORP conferences on «Urban Planning and Regional Development in the Information Society» that bring together high level experts from around the world in the fields mentioned above (www.corp.at).
He has carried out a wide range of research and consulting activities at national and international levels as part of interdisciplinary projects and teams.
Mr. Schrenk holds a degree in Spatial Planning and Regional Science from Vienna University of Technology and is fluent in English, while his mother tongue is German.
Currently Mr. Schrenk runs his privat consultancy «CORP – COnsulting Research Projects» and is chairman of CORP-association. He is a long time member of ISOCARP, the International Society of City and Regional Planners (www.isocarp.org, Vice-President from 2007-2013).
