Born in Leningrad.
Graduated with honours from Leningrad State University, Philology Department (speciality “Russian language and literature”).
Cooperated with city radio, newspapers and magazines since 1985. Worked as “Smena” newspaper correspondent. In 1993 was employed at Channel 5 as the author and anchor woman of “Naobum” talk-show which was several times acknowledged as the “Best talk-show of the year” at television festivals in CIS, Russia and St. Petersburg.
Nika Strizhak is the author and anchor woman of many television projects, holder of Grand Prix of the professional skills competition “Zolotoye pero” as the best journalist of the year (1999). Author and director of documentary films. Three times (in 1997, 1998, 2001) was named “Saint Petersburg person of the year” in the nomination “Television anchor”.
Invented and launched the “Otkrytaya studia” talk-show in 2004, was the anchor woman of this popular project which is the winner of the national television award “TEFI-2014” and many other awards and diplomas.
The head and anchor woman of the “Glavnoye” Sunday analytical program since September 2013.
Nika Strizhak is the member of the Russian Television Academy, the member of Russian Filmmakers Union. Is awarded with the Order of Friendship and the Highest award of Saint Petersburg - Memorial sign of “Merit to Saint Petersburg”.
Was named the Best journalist of Saint Petersburg In November 2013 based of sociological survey of city residents.
Since 2017 an anchor woman of “Otkrytaya studia” talk-show.
Married, has got one son.
